San Carlos Bay is world famous for its diving activities & fishing tournaments. The crystal & calm waters, the modern Marinas, the spectacular underwater landscape made of sheer cliffs & boulders and mainly the more than 800 varieties of maritime species (that placed the area as world second maritime ecosystem) makes this Sea of Cortez bay a real paradise for snorkeling, scuba diving & fishing lovers.
From may thru october the fishermen troll for marlin, sailfish, dorado (mahi-mahi), tuna & skip jack. From november thru april the pinto bass, red snapper, cabrilla, yellow tail & whitefish are the most common catches.
